Finally, Trump is getting close to justice

I snipped out his first five paragraphs and the remainder. If you click on the arrow, it takes you to BC's post, much of which I agree with. But this blaming liberals for Trump is like Bill Maher blaming Democrats for Santos; it's a bunch of nonsense.

I don't think he's blaming liberals for Trump, he's blaming them for letting Trump off the hook every time.

In a way he's right. Our justice system has been constructed on a frame of what could called (formally, not the Fox News term) "liberal principles." The very idea of equality before the law is one of the most "liberal."

'He Betrayed Us': Why Trump's Call to Protest Is Flopping

“Why would I protest for a man that left the [Jan. 6 protesters] high and dry?” one user posted in a pro-Trump Telegram group. “Trump did nothing to help them after they stuck [their] neck out for him.”

“Has he called for protests about these poor guys? No. But he’s calling for us to protest about his arrest,” another person wrote. “It doesn’t sit right with me.” Another user agreed: “He’s right. Trump betrayed the J6 patriots. How can anybody still support [him]?”
Wait, does 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' apply here?

This too is a bunch of nonsense, a difference without any distinction. Liberals, of which I am of the disgusting elitist variety, are a political persuasion. We are not a law enforcement entity. If what y'all are saying is true, and it isn't, you'd be able to point to where us liberals let Shitstain off the hook. I can point to Congressional Democrats impeaching him twice. What say you?

I edited my post to say Liberalism. Trump doesn't matter. The next guy or gal will be worse. I don't think it's fixable.
This is VERY true. DeSantis would be much worse. Basically, Trump uncorked the fascism in Conservatism. Trump could now go away, paraphrasing Mission Impossible, and the elk would disavow any responsibility for his actions.

This happens with our latter day never Trumpers. But we also get it with people blaming liberals, Liberalism, Democrats, Hillary ... for Trump. Democrats are guilty of many things such as balancing budgets, hunting down OBL, passing health insurance reform, ... but electing Trump is not one of them.

It has been most entertaining watching the poor live broadcast hacks having to do on the spot reports outside the NY court and having no information to pass on to the anchors and clusters of deserate perfectly dressed experts in the studio who have nothing to discuss.....

it all looks very stressful.

Should you be interested this is Boris getting a four hour grilling about drinks parties in No10 during lockdown. The staff were bringing bottles of booze and nibbles from waitrose into the building in heavily laden wheelie airline luggage.

He is in trouble not for having the parties but for fibbing to parliament about them

small beer compared to Trump of course

on balance, I think that a parliamentary democracy has the edge over a system that allows dictators to get their hands on power
