So are all these people allowed to appeal up to the S.C?
Or can they fast-track it like the last 'midnight' deadline?
I have two thoughts on this -

If I remember correctly, it is the current POTUS who can extend "Executive Privilege", not a former.*

I imagine some of these folks are happy to have this choice removed from them, so they can do what they can to minimize the danger they face.

* I did find an article indicating a former may, but the scope of doing so is very, very limited.

Had a good chat with an attorney friend (ex army jag, prosecutor now criminal defense) who said the judges ruling that Sol posted is huge. Most of these guys are lawyers and understand that perjury is 5 years, easy peasy. He predicts the deal cutting is about to begin. It's either cut a deal and squeal or testify under oath. Either way none of them are going to prison to protect TFG.

Same judge. Same deal. There was another order that was sealed. This could be from that case. Should be rocket docket, I would guess.
I had wondered if there was any system to check the ability of the uber-wealthy from extending criminal cases to infinity with an endless string of BS appeals. I think I am seeing it now. Nothing written, it appears it's just judges and justices getting fed up with it.

Trump keeps it up an I expect there will soon be a system that renders SC denials on Trump issues within hours.

So you're saying the walls are closing in right?

Trump, Escalating Attacks, Raises Specter of Violence if He Is Charged

In an overnight post, the former president stepped up his attacks on the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, and warned of “potential death and destruction” if he is indicted.

GOP Rep. Jim Jordan says he can't comment on Trump's post threatening violence because he's unable to read it without his glasses

  • Jim Jordan said he couldn't comment on Trump's statement that there could be "death" and "destruction" if he's indicted.
  • Jordan initially said he hadn't read Trump's Truth Social post.
  • When a reporter showed him the post, Jordan said he couldn't read well without his glasses.

"Mr Corcoran, two days ago, under oath, you said 'Dee de dee de dee.' Today you're saying 'da de da de daa.' Were you lying then, or are you lying now? Either way you will be accused and convicted of perjury."

Trump was doing a fine job escaping consequences for a lifetime of crime until he became a politician. If he would have stuck to criming I have no doubt he would have gone to his grave consequence-free.
One wonders what the smarter rich people are up to that DON'T crime on live TV
