At this point would you say that the walls are closing in on Trump?
In much the same way that a person with a sopping wet towel loaded with soapy water closes in on a stinky cat. You know exactly what is going to happen when the towel wraps around the stinky fucker, claws, howls, pissing on everything, biting, etc., but you know it must be done. The analogy falls apart eventually, unless the cat is the leader of a feline cult who follow The Leader no matter what and will attack anything and everything that threatens Him.

Standing on the outside looking in, the only thing that will change things will be TFG getting such a humongous ass whipping at primary time. Indictments just might do that.
Or, If he's alive for re-election time and the R's remain all in, then hopefully he loses in a land slide, nothing else will move the needle.
The R idiots are so all in they stand a real chance of rendering the R's also rans for the next election cycle only after losing twice hopefully more moderate heads will prevail.
Honestly R politics reads like a Loony Tunes plot line.

Indictments won’t do it. They will galvanize the people who think that democRATS are running a child sex racket out of the basement of a DC pizza joint (which lacks a basement). The people who think that democrATS are pedos will get Him through the primaries, with help from those who don’t believe the pedo craziness but are aghast that a Republicans could ever be charged with his crimes.

Seeing New York’s Most Celebrated Genius indicted for his actions instead of celebrated is bound to fire up the hatred for Americans that some people feel, if only because it is clear that He will part his ample cheeks and blast a gigantic diarrhea firehouse shit all over the GOP primary and have a better chance to win the primary now, but not the general. It might even get those who really hate (some of) their fellow Americans to post bullshit that would make everyone sick (but their parents proud), but I wouldn’t know it because I’ve only seen one post that ignorant speck-of-shit-stuck-on-the-toilet ever posted…the first one.

I’d like to see more context on that quote to understand how (or if, in reality) she got it that wrong. This is a central tenet of the rule of law in America, which protects all of us in this great country, even Trump. He is innocent until proven guilty.

From Prosecutor Alvin Braggs letter to the GQP Chairpersons attempting to meddle illegally with their investigation, and then indictment of Trump......... (bold is mine)

"...........................
Finally, as you are no doubt aware, former President Trump has directed harsh invective
against District Attorney Bragg and threatened on social media that his arrest or indictment in New York may unleash “death & destruction.” As Committee Chairmen, you could use the
stature of your office to denounce these attacks and urge respect for the fairness of our justice system and for the work of the impartial grand jury. Instead, you and many of your colleagues have chosen to collaborate with Mr. Trump’s efforts to vilify and denigrate the integrity of elected state prosecutors and trial judges and made unfounded allegations that the Office’s investigation, conducted via an independent grand jury of average citizens serving New York
State, is politically motivated. See, e.g., Annie Grayer et al., Inside the backchannel communications
keeping Donald Trump in the loop on Republican investigations, CNN.com (March 28, 2023),
https://tinyurl.com/mr3n675p (“House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik . . . and
Trump spoke several times last week alone, where she walked him through the GOP’s plans
for an aggressive response to Bragg.”). We urge you to refrain from these inflammatory
accusations, withdraw your demand for information, and let the criminal justice process
proceed without unlawful political interference...................
