As I predicted not long ago, we have transitioned from the basic despair line being about how long it was taking for him to be charged, to how unfair the next step of the process is (though I missed predicting the bail goalpost). After that, it will be the weak case, and we already hear trump cultists calling it political and such, without even seeing the indictment. If he gets convicted, the goal posts will move to how insufficient any sentence will be. And if he is imprisoned the new goalpost will be the time off for good behavior. Etc.
My point is, our system works. It isn't perfect, but I do not see one that I prefer. The judicial branch has saved this country from itself time and time again. It will again, it just won't cross it's arms and blink to make it happen instantly. Take a breath and let the process play out. Put the energy into making sure it plays out without outside influence from the bullshit squad.

All good points, and I agree with only one caveat... the basic fact that this motherfucker has 30~35% of the country behind him and wants to install himself as lazy-ass dictator. The fact that it cannot possibly work does not seem to deter The Faithful trumpalo elk.
IMHO this whole process needs a HARD smackdown. Not letting Buffalo Hat guy out of jail early because the food upsets his tummy. Not letting Trump skate with classified documents... he should have been cuffed and perp-walked for that. Gym Jordan and his crew should be given a chance to work on their stripey suntan for obstructing justice.
We are in a civil war and only one side is fighting. The system needs to fight back harder or it will be washed away in a flood of bullshit.

We are definitely in a civil war with one side fighting, but the Judicial branch is mostly staying above the fray, as it should. It hammers Trump's bullshit right and left. All he has left is to try to delay things by appealing his loses, and appellate courts are running out of patience with that bullshit too.
