Rum Monkey was up there again today...but race 3 was abandoned...he's definitely found some down range speed!
And again last night...rounded 2nd in another race that was abandoned due to a gate mark issue...went on to have 2 more good results... now sitting 7th overall! I need to find out what he's drinking!!

Hey Rum Monkey...Nasty fart or what? You look (rightfully!) pleased!! (Ya mates...not so much!🤣) Obviously before the Ouzo took its toll! Congratulations mate...looking forward to catching up ...and taking you on at QLD States next month. Special mention... RQYS is the venue for the 2026 Gold Cup!!! how good is that!!?! Open invitation to all Finnsters to have a crack at RumMonkey on his own turf!!🤣🤣.

Here's a link to an interesting early history of molded plywood dinghy construction. This was posted on the Wooden Finn Facebook page and worth a repost here. There's discussion of several classes but the Finn seems to get the most attention.

There's pressure being brought to bare from a certain long term Finn sailor on Pittwater who sustained a head injury recently, spruiking the Pittwater locals to get involved in the Brisbane Masters Worlds. Sounds like fun... ;)

Jethrow...you'll kick yourself if you miss it! Our little club here in Vic has gone from 0 boats 3 years ago...to now 15....with a target of 20 by the end of the Nationals we'll be hosting in January. The QLD state champs drew 41 boats.. The Gold Cup, Masters and Silver Cup events at RQ in '26 are a drawcard...but it's the fun-factor within the fleet that is the big attraction.
And this little boat belonged to the same bloke that sold your "Bonked on the Bokko" mate his beautiful boat...
Do yourself a favour...get into it!
