Was it Santarpio's?. Wish I had taken time to stop in but found what may be the best Italian restaurant ever over close to the airport.

No, a little hole in the wall out on the Winthrop Beach called D'Parma's.Was it Santarpio's?
that's not plywood that's Stirling board, AKA oriented strand board aka OSB..Plywood is the "Go to" storm shutter material to protect glass from flying debris during hurricanes. .
correct, but people who know not better still refer to it as plywood.that's not plywood that's Stirling board, AKA oriented strand board aka OSB..
OSB can be tougher than plywood. Always read the specs.that's not plywood that's Stirling board, AKA oriented strand board aka OSB..Plywood is the "Go to" storm shutter material to protect glass from flying debris during hurricanes. .
You take that back right now!The grits are essential( maybe not eaten)
There's nuttin' better than covered, smothered, diced and chunked..... Yeah, I've been in a waffle house a time or two.No. That would be Hawaii House.
That is the proud visual representation of what you might get as a cubed ham product filled omelette.
The grits are essential( maybe not eaten) and hash browns can be done in about 15 different ways.
Sorry ya lost the wood - I'm a wood packrat too, and it's hard to rebuild your stockpile.OSB can be tougher than plywood. Always read the specs.
I was programmed in an earlier more primitive time to sneer at "chipboard" and to think that REAL wood was always better. But times (and technology) have changed.
I had a big load of lumber of all types including marine ply and some OSB and some really nice cedar-face plywood paneling, stored in a rack I built at about the 10' elevation (above normal water level) under our back porch. It all got scattered thru the neighborhood, what I've seen is warped and soaked in sewage. Might be able to save some epé and some of the OSB, but I haven't finished mucking out the basement/garage yet. It was worse than a stable.
OTOH we are very lucky, our community has had a good water supply (thanks to good leadership & planning) and we're getting power restored quickly. House took only slight/trivial damage (assuming we can get the mold/mildew under control). So the Steam Flight Command Center is almost up & running!

we had one over in pendleton near school, we called it the awful waffle, at the time it was the home of the 1/2 lb cheese burger at the time when mcd's was touting how big the 1/4 pounder was.. there was always someone in there no matter what the time, a lot of mills around that town with 24/7 shifts..Waflle House! Feeding drunk college students and truckers at 3 am since 1955!!!
I stored my plywood. Too much work and time to refit and redrill. Busy enough prepping for a storm without more complication.
Some of the newer high end construction does have metal roll down shutters. I've seem some in south Florida that have mounts for storm shutters to be easily mounted in the event they are needed and then removed and stored so as not to spoil the architecture.you'd think houses in strom prone zones would have roll down metal shutters for the windows, sure save having to store all that plywood, taking it down / up .. maybe something the ins companies would cut you a break on..
Ive seene that to, corgatted steell3, likcke metalle cutaine.I've seem some in south Florida that have mounts for storm shutters to be easily mounted in the event they are needed and then removed and stored so as not to spoil the architecture.
