Very nice looking!

At the moment, the main hatch looks like it doesn't comply with the Offshore Special Regs:

3.08.3 A companionway hatch extending below the local sheerline, shall:a) not be permitted in a yacht with a cockpit opening aft to the sea (OSR 3.09.6)

B) be capable of being blocked off up to the level of the local sheerline, provided that the companionway hatch shall continue to give access to the interior with the blocking devices (e.g. washboards) in place.

what do you mean by everything? mast? running rigging? sails?
We will list the prices for everything so you can add as you like.

The standard boat is:

A hull, with furniture and an engine.

Tiller as standard.

All deck hardware.

Carbon mast and prodder.

Running rigging.

bob, loco,

i think you should consider a transom hung rudder. or even dual. only negative would be the issue of cavitation, but you could probabaly add a leading edge tab that fits under the hull, like on the Farr 11s, to solve that problem. substantially cheaper, simpler, and therfore ultimately more reliable (if spec'ed and built right). also provides an easy way to remove the rudder and simplify boat transport (assuming the keel is equally easy to remove). and 2 rudders gives you comfort with redndancy.

$1000 refundable hull reservations......?

Will the draft be too deep for lake Michigan?

Will you address the ability to raise the keel a few feet for our shallow harbors?

I want one. Badly!

No discussions with Bob, no iterations, no input from the Anarchists? Take it or leave it attitude? Has Bob been gagged? Does not sound like the deal with the FT10 - this forum is becoming quite disappointing.

Me? gagged? No. It's just that with the 7.5 and my 114'er I am a bit busy right now and the 13.8 will have to wait until other projects get further along. I am in on it every step of the way.

quick thoughts:

Stop the toe rail at the mast or chain plates. There is need need for the crew to sit on it while going up wind

make sure the hatch opens forward not aft toward the mast, this will help help the boat dry below decks

Try to make the mainsheet travel below decks this will help keep the deck clear (i.e. Farr 40), when it lays on the deck people always sit on it downwind

Ditch the hand rail on the cabin house (that will kill the crew's knees)

FT10m spawns the 7.5m, which in turn begins the 13.8m, and now we all anxiously await the lines for the FT34.7m. I have heard rumors that Bob and DA MAN are one-upping JuanK and Speedboat.

Since Bob has now referred to the 34.7 here on the internet, it must be true.

Will there be an owner-driver rule for this new OD class?
