If any of them are sitting idle, I think there's more than one party interested in pulling them south.

To the best of my understanding the boats were moved south of the border when 1D ceased, and can probably be found about as easily as their owner...  Seen a fleet of FTs (10s and 7.5s) anywhere near Lake Lanier lately?!  :wacko:

There are FT10's and a 7.5 at Lanier.  The rest of the fleet was in storage up the street, but I haven't looked for them lately.

Very interesting MDLS.  Other than collecting dust, I wonder what the plans are for all those 7.5's.  They might be tied up in bankruptcy.

There was one for sale in Barrie, Ontario not sure if it sold or the owners decided to keep it.

I sailed them a fair amount. Like them as a training platform for sportboat sailing. They are heavy and the loads are fairly high, but still responds well. They are well built and we did some crazy stuff with them while coaching and never had a serious problem with them.  

Ergonomics can be a little better but once you get some muscle memory, you find your way around. 

Cool boat for it's purpose. Not comfortable interior, but if you are not big, it's ok.
