You have got to be joking about these boats being dumped. Check the listed prices for the few that are available , still more than half the original price 15 years ago.
Sydney had an original fleet of 14 FT10's they are all still racing from various clubs around Sydney Harbour and still amongst the best / fastest Sports Yachts on the harbour.
The critics said that they could not be Fast Fun and Affordable. Time has proved the critics wrong.
If it had not been for the GFC hitting in July 2008 I believe that we would have had double that number on the harbour. The FT10 was the most talked about boat at the 2008 Sydney Boat Show. The GFC made it difficult for many very keen buyers to go home to the Misses and say " Honey , bad news I have lost my Job, but good news is that I have just purchased the cheapest load of fun possible. a new FT10 .

I bought one last year and now sailing it In Port Lincoln! Great value for money and speed to burn. Returning to sailing after many years out and every crew member is enjoying sailing on the FT10.
Sailed in 5 to 35knots without a problem.

I just surveyed a FT 10 yesterday. Looking at asking prices and recent sale amounts is seems there are quite a few in the low $30's.
