I looked up the website. The foiling boat finished 5th out of 8 boats. It's not very well developed because they've got 3 foils, so there's a lot of unnecessary drag.

The R class is probably a better test of the efficacy of 2 handed foilers because it doesn't have a minimum weight. The foiling R classes generally (but not always) beat the non foilers, but they're not as fast as Moths.

IMHO an interesting boat would be a more user friendly Moth. Something longer to get better transverse and longitudinal stability and targeted at early takeoff rather than maximum top speed, so larger area foils. Perhaps the technology from the Moths is well developed enough for a OD boat to be created now.

It's a father and son team and I think it is totally cool the young dude is sailing Cherubs at all, but to be foiling one, that is coooool. Sure beats playing xbox.
