There is a subtle button in the bottom left corner of the page that says 'Change width' Might help.
it does! thanks. imo it should default to 'clicked' width first. Idk why anyone would want it narrower (less readable) given so few topics are displayed anyhow. but its possible other browsers react differently. I use a laptop.

Would be fun if we could delete other peoples' old posts.

You can reply to one post then, without clicking 'Post reply', reply to another post. The quotes and your replies are combined in a way that makes perfect sense.

certainly worth a try. but what is the "+Quote" feature for?

It wasn't obvious to me either. But looking more closely, a 'Insert quotes...' button appears at the bottom of the page in the reply form. When clicked, it gives you a chance to review the list of posts you've selected and remove or re-sequence them.

The more I see of the new forum (and the responsiveness of the admins), the more I like. It's better than the old forum in many ways.

must agree. my complaints have been addressed:
  1. Forum topics hard to read?
    • click text lower left that reads "Change width".
  2. Not enough forum threads displayed?
    • click "Showing n threads per page" upper right.
  3. Not enough posts displayed within a topic?
    • click "Showing n posts per page" upper right.

I just realized I had been using the downvote (anarchy icon) instead of the upvote, just blindly clicked the leftmost one . Apologies to the people I downvoted, even if you are an arsehole, but I didn't think any of you were arseholes since the new software started.
Can't find a link to reactions I passed out to others so I can't correct them.
Check out this dunce, right?

Is there a way to view your recent reactions?

Go to your Home>members>latest activity. Easiest way is by clicking on your user name.

In case it has not been pointed out above, it looks like folks can edit their own original posts even if they were posted many hours ago. That used to be limited to 30 minutes.

There appears to be no time limit now, was able to edit a post from three days ago as a test.

Good or bad? I see some of both but am concerned about if some assholes will sail that boat into to the rocks.
Bad. We had open editing for a while. I now call it the “gaslighting” feature.

I think we changed it to five minutes.
