I really no longer give a fuck about the Jan 6th committee, or "special masters" or "special prosecutors" or how many weenies in Trumps retinue are going to rat on him. There's a stinking pile of evidence the size of mount Everest on at least three counts that should have him locked away.
One more time....every day that the world sees the USA dither and foam at the mouth and jack off and do NOTHING to put the guy away, is a message.

Every kid on the street whose uncle was busted for having more than an ounce of pot in the car and now is in prison for ten years, is looking at this and making perfectly valid conclusions about the joke that is "justice" in the USA.

It's no news to anybody that money buys a special brand of "justice" but in this particular case, when it is SO CLEAR ...SO obvious...SO glaring, and "justice" never gets done for "special" people, well....if we all get really cynical and no longer trust the justice system.......

......or elections....

It won't just be shitstains fault.

Completely agree. It also sends the message that our gov't cannot, or will not, defend itself from fascist coup attempts.

What is Garland supposed to say? "Hey, we are putting another layer on this so it has to start over again as an excuse to delay any action until we can somehow blame delay on the new Republican congress and Trump gets his campaign up and running and then the DOJ "memo of understanding" kicks in..."

I sure hope Garland isn't just feeding everyone a load of BS but damn, no one with any money or power has b

I really hope Garland is not BS'ing everyone on this and just using the "starting over" as a delay tactic until the new Republican congress, then the DOJ "memo of understanding", can be used to just call the whole thing off. No one of any power or wealth has been hauled in on any of this shit.

Garland keeps saying all the "correct" words, but as the layman out here watching these people openly getting away with serious crimes, there seems to be no action behind those words.
Sure is a lot of pussyfooting going on for cases that have had months of DOJ involvement and yes the US is showing the world that there is clearly a two tier system of justice, those that are rich enough to afford it can get laws applied on their terms-anyone else would be so far up shit creek they won’t need the paddle.
Nobody is above the law appears to be written specifically for the poor people.

It shirley seems this way!! Every single one of the one hundred seventy something election deniers who were elected on the 8th should be tossed out immediately, based on Section 14 Article 3 of the Constitution. Will it ever happen? I doubt it!!!

Bannon is not in jail, He's free on appeal. TLG can't be arrested by the FBI for contempt of Congress. The House Sgt at Arms could collect him, and maybe the SS or Postal police, but not the FBI.

Send the Sargent at Arms to go get him and keep him in a windowless basement room until the case comes to trial. Enough of this fucking around.

Imagine for a moment the outcome if a procedural issue meant a piece of evidence was excluded, and that evidence was the basis for obtaining other documents/items.

How emboldened would TFG be if he walked away, umscathed screaming "I told you so, it was a witch hunt". No different to "there was no collusion". His followers would be further empowered and I see absolute chaos following.

As frustrating as it is and mind boggling that he wasn't immediately arrested, I am still hopeful that the time is being spent ensuring every single I is crossed and T Is dotted.

Yeah, Bannon is out, mouthing off on his radio station while the appeal before the appeal before the next appeal runs it's course. But at least the fucker had to show his ugly face in a courtroom, and appeals can be denied.

Look, the Jan 6th committee subpoenad Bannon. He gave them the finger.
Now, he's in jail for contempt of Congress.
The EXACT same thing can happen to shitstain. And should. TODAY. Not after the committee meets nineteen more times to deliberate.

But oh no. We're going to appoint a special prosecutor. And the Jan 6th committee will deliberate for three months about handing over their evidence to the DOJ. And then there'll be another committee....and public hearings....and injunctions and treatises and motions and movements and fucking BOWEL movements and every day that goes by...
just PROVES to everybody in Nigeria and Brazil and Turkey and Egypt and South Africa,

And Dayton OH, and New Orleans LA, and Los Angeles CA...
That the USA is full of shit, and "justice" here is no more swift or real than the number of lawyers you can buy.
The Jan 6 committee either hands over the findings and evidence, or it gets squashed by McCarthy.

Chappelle, in his open for SNL called us white guys on it. “We told you the justice system is rigged!”

We've now had 24 hours to absorb the news that Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed career prosecutor Jack Smith as special counsel to assure control of the ongoing criminal investigations of former president Donald Trump. This video reviews the potential benefits of Merrick Garland no longer being in charge of the criminal investigations of Trump but instead having the investigations being handled by a career pubic integrity prosecutor who also prosecuted war crimes at The Hague.

THE biggest upside is MG is no longer in charge of the investigation. Maybe there will actually be some sense of urgency now.
