Yep, our parents had firsthand memory of the deaths, injuries, paralysis caused by disease. The anti-vaxxers are too stupid to foresee what really happens when Darwin has his way with us.

I presume when you mention paralysis you are referring to the Polio vaccine and
not that induced by trial and error vaccines.

With regard to Polio was it the vaccine that reduced the incidence of the disease or the knowledge that poor hygiene was the main cause of transmission and therefore the improvements in sanitation systems was significant in stopping the disease. I'm sure your parents can remember poor water and sanitation systems.

Are you telling us all that the sanitation systems in New York state were as good then 1882 as they are now? The polio virus wasn't discovered until 1908. The first pandemic in the USA was 1894. It's method of transmission wasn't discovered until sometime after that I.e. transmission by contact with fecal matter.

Although there is some doubt that he actually had Polio. Which given your assertion that he lived in a very clean, high sanitation environment it may not have been Polio.

My understanding is that there wasn't a test available to confirm he had indeed contracted Polio.

Also the paralysis that he acquired and other symptoms weren't typical of Polio.

Wouldn't expect anything less from the Covidian Pzifer Shareholders on this site. The reality is FDR's Polio diagnosis cannot be confirmed. The symptoms he had weren't typical of the disease.
