Good evening from LSO,
We're at our (tiny) apartment after a hectic day. Started with our safety check which went well, about 4 small items to attend to and a sailing photo shoot in the afternoon.
Most folk are immersed in safety inspections and all the little interpretations of the written word. But there aren't too many complaints, listening to the Entrants.
Some pics.

Great reporting trisail Thank you.. You have certainly piqued my interest in the Golden Globe.. fascinating! Lovely to see all the details and consequently to imagine what it would be like to participate

Yes, your reporting is to be applauded, not just for your efforts to update frequently, but also that you’ve managed to capture the technical detail most of us don't get to see up close, the racers, the human interest side, and the unique, “neat stuff,” like the RC’s etc.

Most of the time we only get a greatly edited skimming of the events and participant, or a short video that blasts through the fleet. I actually feel like a spectator reading your reports.

Chapeau, sir.

Yeah, I’m very interested in Edward. He always seemed very well organized and was always our country’s best bet for a strong showing. That tiny little hard dodger is interesting - guess it keeps just enough of the spray away and that customized hatch looks strong and tight. I wonder where his support is coming from, as he’s not on anyones radar here and our media have completely ignored him - at least nationally. Not a peep. I wish him well and hope to see the boat sometime after he returns.

Curwen’s choice of a soft dodger is curious. Guess he‘s put in enough miles to know what works, so over to him.

Thank you again! 🙏🏆🙋‍♂️

Really like the custom hatch Guggenberger made. Looks like a lot of thought went into that and very solid with lots of points of contact to hold onto. Don’t know what it does for deflecting waves and spray but it looks like less of a hassle, ergonomically…
