Haven't seen any signs of a bikini... nor a Patreon pitch (yet), but it's somewhere warm at least. These folk also make me feel better about myself. I don't know much, but buying a 70' wooden boat that's already taking on a significant amount of water is not a project I'd be willing to take on, not without having won the lottery first.

Wow theres a lot to make fun of with that boat.. Apparently she's only 13 years old so if its made of fancy brazillian hardwood there might be hope.. but probably its toredo infested.. my wooden boat is 51yo and she doesnt leak a drop.. also there doesnt seem to be a keel? and the whole thing is bending significantly being hauled out? Then theres the guy with his legs on either side of the cable.. i mean they might be able to get her tight enough to not sink at anchor.. but dear god dont go sailing in that thing!

Dang, the landscape looked very familiar and then I realized that half a lifetime ago I traveled for work occasionally in that same part of Santa Catarina...covered a lot of the waterfront from Florianopolis up to Balneario to the north. Very nice part of the world. I think the joke's on us. They probably have the money to afford skilled local labor to patch that wooden boat up. Or to ditch it and get a decent one. The big wooden fishing vessels around there were impressive, but the catch in the region was declining when I was there.

Only... plenty of Mads' enhancements are not so small, at least in terms of labor expended. Oddly, my wife enjoys watching his channel, and she's not at all interested in boat maintenance. I think it's the relentless optimism.
It's now a running joke in our household, any time something goes south, that we'll just slap a little thickened epoxy on it.

Well they appear to be the outliers of the genre. They can afford to do it and aren't begging for money, at least it appears that way.

Give them time. Everyone starts the grift at some point. Some to fund the whole thing, some to fund the videography.
These guys seem to be a part of a new YoutTube sailing genre of relishing mission impossible refits. Their buddies with the steel boat did a good job, but actually has something to work with.
