I cant fathom having to produce a video every week, but, its not my area of expertise. I think a lot of the people who are vloggers are trained or have a passion at video production and is fun for them like it would be to play the guitar or paint/draw or whatever hobby. They take the next step and try to monetize it. Thats about where the fun probably stops when you get popular and its becomes a j-o-b.

Actually - not. I'm doing pretty much exactly what I wish to be doing, frankly.
I just have no dependence on YouTube or any other social media to fund it. Nor do I desire the approbation of strangers by splashing my life in front of a camera 24/7.

This. A lesson I learned decades ago and changed hobbies accordingly. It's why these days I'm generally happy to help people out if they get stuck on something, and I'll take money for materials or tooling needed, but I don't look for or want to have more work. My backlog of hobby projects will keep me fully occupied to at least my 150th birthday now.

K. I had a look at Brian’s little rant. Mostly because I just got the noo TV installed on the noo boat. (Spent all day ripping out obsolete (and wrongly installed in the first place) 90’s tech.)

First impression: Wow, does this mean that the under 18’s were really driving their ad revenue? Or did YouTube simply stop pushing their stuff in the usual way? I’m suspecting that if 60’s dude was bored with their shit, then it didn’t even exist for teens.
Second impression: Brian lost a lot of weight since the last time I looked in! Way to go! But he needs to do some more push-ups. Maybe rig a pull-up bar in the rat lines.

Afaik age restriction means that the videos are not pushed to people, under 18 or not. Thus clicks only from the die hard fans and all that skin showing is for nothing. Also advertisers are likely to advertise to as many eyeballs as possible and don't want their ads in adult videos.

I don’t know what “corn fed” means (in my mind, it evokes pigs noisily snorting and feeding at a trough full of corn, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your perspective) - but their mention of “sailing the Seven Seas”, and then stumbling upon her video review of a Bluetooth-enabled butt plug...well, I’d seen enough at that point.
Still don’t know what “corn fed” means - but it definitely evokes a hungry farm animal for me.
