Damn, that girl is corn fed.
Ok, based on that, I had to have a quick look at their site. I don’t know what “corn fed” means (in my mind, it evokes pigs noisily snorting and feeding at a trough full of corn, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your perspective) - but their mention of “sailing the Seven Seas”, and then stumbling upon her video review of a Bluetooth-enabled butt plug...well, I’d seen enough at that point.

Still don’t know what “corn fed” means - but it definitely evokes a hungry farm animal for me. :) (His Marine Corps retirement package must not be sufficient for their lifestyle, plus young kid, so they parade her out for money, it seems. Corn is expensive.)

It means she is a bit soft and round and well-fed. Not a hardbody. I think the porn term you would search with is "BBW". Surprised they arent on pornhub. Yes, I did a search. lol.

Beef is either grass-fed (typically left to wander around sparse rangeland, eating a mix of grasses and forbs of varying nutrition, given hay over the winter in cold places) or corn-fed (held in crowded barns or feedlot pens and stuffed full of corn as fast as possible). Or both: our ropey free-range cattle are sent to feedlots for 'finishing' on corn and may add 25% weight in a month or two. Corn is loaded with sugars and simpler carbohydrates than grass, which has lots of protein but requires four stomachs and plenty of rumination time to transform into berf.

A 'corn-fed' person eats rich food and lots of it.

ETA: In the linked photo, taken at one of Greeley CO's many many feedlots, those elevated cows in the background are standing on ... mountains of their own shit. Hence the need for antibiotics.

I made some films about ranching in the USA - I think I spent about a week in the feedlots - blooming weird places. They even let me spend a day with the feedlot cowboys who ride through each yard on their cutting horses opening 100 gates a day while picking upt he sick cattle to be run through the chutes for a double dose of anti-biotic.
Agree. But Delos is very mockworthy (albeit they may be nice people: that’s beside the point. We’re mocking their vids, etc).

Dylan isn’t mockworthy. He’s our Bloke in Blighty - he’s a fine storyteller and he makes good films about interesting places, etc. For god’s sake, he’s ex-BBC!! :)

ta for that.

I am somewhat sympathetic. As usual, YT is constantly changing the rules on its content providers which cost the providers money, and it can get really frustrating if you rely on that income. I know its easy for us to bash these people and others like them because they are doing what we wish we could be doing (even without the YT angle). But, when a platform provides you a venue to make a living, but, then keeps fucking you every step along the way, you want to tell them to get fucked.

Even our "Keep Turning Left" friend who started this whole thread has told YT to get fucked and moved over to Vimeo.

all the films are now on youtube for freemans but plastered in ads -

unless you watch on a browser with an ad blocker - then they all go away.

The films get around a randomly steady 600 to 800 hits a day - hardly ever varies.

I spent a while dancing with the youtube algorithmns - posted a vid a day for 20 days. Made better thumbnails - used bold weird fonts.

You can ramp the hits per day up pretty fast - but they ramp right down almost straight away. Three days and the peak is well over.

I did try making 90 second films on the phone and posting them asap.

But a phone is a horrible thing to film on.

I have now gone back to the big camera with a decent lens on it. There is lots of boat porn on these eastern rivers.

I am sort of looking forward to the winter when the east coast estuaries will quieten down a bit. 20 per cent of the geese are back already Quiet nights at anchor... taylor sussurating away - late milky sunrises and ice on the decks.

Yup - we have disgusting farmed salmon feedlots a-plenty on this coast. Repulsive crowded pens where the fish, a non-local species, are “corn fed”, swimming in their concentrated feces, infested by sea lice, etc. It’s quite awful. There’s even a special commercial ship for this industry that literally vacuums and washes the sea lice parasites off the fish. These ships are all hush-hush, because the industry wants to keep it all quiet. (Not to mention that fish farms take over nice anchorages...)

Nicely said - 100% agree and we have the same issues here. They're getting some pushback but nowhere near enough.

Corn fed doesn't have to mean fat, it can also mean thick and stout like a hardworking farm girl.
True. A rich diet of large portions is matched with throwing haybales all day. The very apogee of cornfed-ness is Nebraska's offensive line:

They lift tractor tires, but not as part of their CrossFit routine.

What the heck else is there to do if you live in Nebraska? (Have a friend who, once graduated from high school there, escaped as quickly as he could :) Ok, he’s a poet and professor of creative writing, so that had something to do with it :)

Rich diet of large portions: bring on the chankonabe.

One of the most respected (and criticized) creative writing programs in the US is located in the levellands of Iowa. Donald Justice taught there, among many others.

Absolutely- the Iowa Writers Program, I think it’s called. (Raymond Carver taught there too). But Nebraska is the hinterlands :). My friend spent a university summer job there once working on an automobile seat assembly line, stapling upholstery to the seat frames. Daily. With everyone else who’d done it for years. Didn’t see much of a future for himself there :). (But, then again, doesn’t the nearly richest man in the world live there?)
