Girl with patreon account goes sailing in hot place

I raised chickens for eggs this year. It has been a very interesting process and many of our friends have been fascinated and amused by the process. I've been told a dozen times to create a YT channel on this and my response is the same every time- "It's already been done a hundred times. There would be absolutely nothing unique about my experience. The channel would flop."

Any sense of introspection or self awareness has been completely buried by these peoples' narcissism. Social media breeds narcissism...or at least draws them out where otherwise, they'd have no outlet.
But, but I’m speshul! Reeeeeee!

The original charm, as it were, about YT was that it was a platform for sharing genuine, organic experiences with a small circle of friends and followers. Hyperlocal video. Highly specialized video like how to fix the centerboard pendant on one of the 500 or so <insert nichey brand and model of pocket cruiser here>s. Sort of a modern day version of a 1950s slide show and 8mm film at the yacht club or something. Or something that's just kind of cool because you did it.

I have a YT channel and post occasionally. It's stuff like backyard chickens, scuba diving, and boat fettling. I get a few hundred hits per video, sometimes a few thousand. I'll never be able to monetize any of that, and I'm ok with that.

Remember back in the 1990s, the naively optimistic predictions that the Internet itself would save democracy and that it was actually a good thing, that it would lead to the free flow of ideas, and the wheat would naturally separate from the chaff, bringing about a new democracy of good ideas... :) :)
Some people think it did, either because their politics are different then ours or because they see the glass as half full.

My children don't remember life before Wikipedia and Google Maps.

When did Bobby Doodles go van life?

Still killing it with the thumbnails, tho.

The dudes back in the ‘70s figured that van life stuff out long ago :)
