This video must have been posted already. It was posted on the Cruising and Sailing Scotland group.

Incredible drone and hand-shot video footage. Wonderful music in the background and not a human word spoken.

And sailing footage, beautiful sailing footage.

I can't wait to watch it again on the big screen.

I agree - very versatile and practical-seeming boat - hard to not love the thinking that went into it. Also hard to understand why more boats aren’t designed like that. Literally everything Pete said had me going, “yup, that’s cool…that makes total sense…that’s a great idea, etc”. Why aren’t more sailboats like this made - seems an almost “perfect” cruiser, that strikes a good balance of compromises for a 32 footer. Maybe this will inspire slow change in designers/manufacturers going forward?
I really like the concept.

I have sailed and raced with and against Pete and am surprised to see what he came up with in this boat. I guess even the wildest of wildmen grow to love their comforts...

I think he says in the vid that his wife had never before done an overnight sail…which made me think, WTF? The guy who turned around and rescued Dinelli, among other things over the years…??!! Clearly a boat for a special purpose…

Goss, alerted by Paris that Dinelli had subsequently activated three distress beacons followed by silence, sent several “telexes” as he altered course for Dinelli’s last known position, getting smashed by the sea.
“Sorry to be so quiet, it has been survival all night,” Goss messaged. “I’m knocked down every half an hour with big breaking seas on the beam. The wind has eased a bit now but I have a lot of damage. The best I can do at present is five knots … I’m working on the boat as fast as I can and I hope to speed up in a couple of hours.”

Dinelli was in much worse trouble. His yacht was sinking beneath him, he had lost all his food and drinking water and he could do nothing but stand in freezing water and wait for a miracle.
“I started to think about death, but with a strong determination I decided to fight,” he messaged after being rescued.

It is interesting to check out the last couple of episodes of " Gone with the Wynns "

They are delivering a friends "Neel" 47' trimaran .

Although the boats not set up all that well they do seem to be totally out of their depth .

I doubt that I would be so trusting allowing seemingly inexperienced people deliver my boat.

The Wynns Neel delivery videos had some real wtf moments. What's with that crazy mainsail head car setup? To reef the main you need to furl the jib? Deploying and storing the dinghy looks like a big pain in the ass vs catamarans.

Not a great add for Neel for sure. That boat seems to be set up by someone who has barely been on a sailboat before.

Very poorly designed as well as set up down to the dinghy davits. Amazing in ths day and age they couldnt get deck organizers figured out. And which numbnuts led the reefing line 45 degrees away from winch to the stopper and blew the stopper up? Amazing they didnt lose the dog overboard

My interpretation is that the Wynns have a lot of experience on their boat but almost none on a variety of boats and so are struggling to adapt. Would anyone here winch a high load line at a large angle from a jammer? I think most would go over the boat and learn it and have at least a little more non eventful trip.

That said, a bad look for Neel for sure.

What is up with the mainsail headboard? Is it adjustment or poor hardware choices? If the hardware was that bad, couldn't they have shackled the headboard to the track when they wanted to sail? I always liked this set up but haven't used it: https://www.doylesails.com/anomaly-headboard/.

Crappy lead but in such low winds they shouldn't have had to put furling line on a winch. Way too much friction on that furling line (and too big in diameter). The genoa is 50m2 so not a huge sail.

The mast headboard car was busted so not really their fault.

I thought the motion at sea looked odd but I haven't sailed any trimarans

Top tip - if you want your grubby hiking boots clean just show up with muddy boots in NZ. They take them away and scrub them very well and give them back.

Also if you show up with US cheese just declare it and they will not notice anything else you may (or may not) be bringing into the country.

Australia is paranoid about stuff coming in but understandably so. We checked in at Bundaberg, last of 7 boats that day and they had a pretty full day. They forgot our garbage bag of confiscated groceries on the dock! We left it there for them to find the next day and didn't rummage through it to bring back anything aboard.

They changed the busted car .

I don’t think they figured out how to run the halyard through.

They just seem a bit lacking in the problem solving department.

A bit like when they where trying to get the dingy onboard.

I kept thinking just raise it a tad and drag it from a bit further forward.

It wasn’t the manliest effort.

These videos are so well done. 9 minutes of exceptional footage, sailing around the Faroe Islands.

Stunning vistas, music, a love of sailing, and a story of adventure without the Youtube cheesy.

Enjoy them while you can. They are doomed to the dustbin.

If you think you are having a shitty day.....

Colorado non sailor farmer is diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma.
Buys a brand new FP 42 Cat to sail the world with wife and daughter while he still can.
Family takes a few sailing lessons
Departs Fort Lauderdale for Bimini
A few days later the boat burns to the waterline while at anchor and they are grocery shopping in town.
The two family twin dogs left onboard suffocate and are found in their cabin with their noses pressed against an air vent
