That does look like the original Val with the two akas. Wonder how long it has been lost in the Outer Banks?

Hey Foghorn, if you are in the area, could you have a look and get the story on both the cat and tri at Blackwell? I confirmed the tri on google maps

It has been here many years. Sat pulled up in the marsh behind his shop for a while. If I recall he is/was a sailor as well which is an oddity down here. If it wasn't for the hurricane/haulout issue I would have looked into acquiring it.

Here's a pic of the tri. G4 is still in the water as well.

Based on this thread my guesswork is that there were 3 out and about? One in Newport, One in Wanchese, and one in Antigua owned by Shannon Falcone. Is that correct? Which one made it to California?

Devastating.  Is it in the water or out?  Strangely I haven't gotten a ride on it despite monitoring this thread closely.  So when are we going to go save her?

In the water. Sure is sad seeing it sit there. If you get down here we'll have to catch up over a beer or 12.

Got a buddy who just moved up that way that I need to see so I might be in the area this fall.  I really would like to lay eyes on that thing.  Kind of a piece of modern art IMHO.

That’s G4 #2 apparently. $2.1m is steep for that. That same money would buy you a MOD70 and a year’s operating budget. My guess is the clock is ticking on that getting donated to a charity.

That does look like big money, if you wanted a pure foiling boat there would be better options out there and if you wanted something with performance and cruising ability how about GAIA? Might be more costly but far more useable.
