Which one is yours?
1961 #200, one of the earliest Lunn boats.  It has a pretty basic interior done by an early owner, Ron Noe, he also designed/built/raced a couple other sailboats (per google)  It's definitely built light, the foredeck flexes underfoot.  She was raced many years out east, leading to all sorts of tweaks I am still learning.

Looks a good bit like a Pearson Ariel... I like the bug-eyed cabin windows (OK OK ports). They were pretty boats, graceful proportions.

I think these designs were styled to evoke the look of a gentleman's yacht of a previous generation, and their sailing abilities suffered. There were faster boats even back then.

I just put down a deposit on the Dolphin in North Carolina. Amidst all the uncertainty and some work/family obligations I'm not sure when/how I'll retrieve it, but I'm looking forward to owning it. I got to drive a Dolphin in a race last night, and was instantly sold. What a sweet boat! with the board up we were able to sail all the way back to our mooring field on a shallow river, while everyone else had to motor up the channel.

Thanks for all of the responses!
LMK if you need anything when you're down here.

Congratulations, you'll be surprised how well she sails with so little demands upon, and you.  I sailed on Trina, at. IHYC, and we won most of the trophies even though we we so. small that we always finished last and then corrected out.  Bill Shaw was so under rated as a designer.  She is like a baby B40

Thanks folks. I'm planning to rent a 3/4T truck in a few weeks to go get it. The seller has been been very accommodating too. If things change and travel is restricted, I'll reach out.

There’s always a few old MORC boats around my place.  An Evelyn 26 or a G&S 25 one-off?  Even a Mod Kirby 30 or Evelyn 32 maybe.

Is that G&S Cobra or MACE?  Great little boats at the time.
My guess is MACE as the "recent USA tour" I think included stops in donation from St Marys out east before heading to Palatka, FL and South Florida after that?

All,

Thanks everyone for your comments on this thread. Yankee Dolphin #186 is home in Wisconsin. I have a bottom job ahead of me and then I can enjoy what's left of this sailing season. The page for 186 is updated on the Dolphin website, and I'll be submitting updates there as I restore the boat over the next few years: http://dolphin24.org/186.html.

I had seen the craigslist ad before it was posted here, but you guys caused me to get serious about it, buy it sight unseen, and concoct a cross-country roadtrip to go get it. The Dolphin is a special boat, and I was lucky to get it (someone offered the guy cash on the spot less than 24 hours after I put the deposit down).

Sisu, try using silicon windshield calking from an auto parts store to stop the leaks in the ports, it's cheap and lasts several years.  Have fun.
Thanks @guerdon! Due to a rainstorm yesterday and the resultant puddles on the interior, I have determined it's coming from the hull/deck joint. Fortunately the joint itself seems fine, but a previous owner replaced the toerail and appears to have inadequately sealed the bolts. Fun stuff!
