Dusk in winter comes early (5:21pm). The harbor has gone still. The last boat to haul- a workboat - hangs in the slings.

There are more people living in town this winter because of Covid. A few summer homes on my street that are usually dark all winter, have lights on in 2020. Several have changed hands this season.

I live in an old house in the village up the hill from the harbor, and sit in the kitchen 3 floors beneath the lit Christmas tree on a widow's walk that is full of drifted snow, in the top of the photo.

12 months ago today.... sunrise from mi casa in north east Victoria, 'Straya..... bushfires then were maybe 90 miles away at a guess..... it got worse..
