It's interesting that there are about 20 replies to 'Here comes the Sun' in a year.

On the other hand, in the thread, 'Here comes the Night', there are about 120 replies in its first year.

There you have it: Sunset photos outpace sunrise photos, 10 to 1. It's safe to assume, sunrise enthusiasts, are fairly rare.

Here's my question; If you're a sunrise enthusiast, are you left-handed?

I’m a lefty and love sunrises.
But, can’t get great views where I’m located. I live on the sunset side, and love it.

I'm righthanded. I think it's just that more people are up and about at sunset than at sunrise.

I'm not a lefty, but I'm definitely a morning person and I love sunrises.

June sunrise at Latitude: 24° 56’ 31.032” N, Longitude: 143° 53’ 27.462” W after a night of strong winds.

Sunset draws camaraderie. Celebration, laughter, blowing horns, the occasional idiot with a yacht cannon.

Overnight, boats go quiet and become benign things like duck blinds or floating logs.

Sunrise catches nature at its most natural, even in a crowded anchorage.

At night's end, the noisy world of man is still asleep while the natural world is at its most active.

There is often a cleansing morning dew at sunrise.

And the Guillemots, like that little guy, are everywhere in Maine.

Loons also seem to be very vocal in early morning. One encouraging thing I've noticed in the last few years is more and more loon families.

For birds that live incredibly challenging lives, that can't be easy.
