Hinckley runs aground in Boston

Definitely for the boat show although there is no reason why the driver needed to go that route. As the owner I would not be happy having my 1M boat sandblasted on the roadways around Boston.

IMG_0970.JPG The M/V Maggie Mae is now a million dollar snow ornament. I watched the driver of the rig try and make a tight turn around a 12'high snow pile in the middle of downtown Boston, and when it was certain he wouldn't come close to clearing it he kept on going trying the use a 40' Picnic Boat as a snowplow! Then he got stuck, couldn't go forward or backward so in a moment of brilliance opened the tractor hood to make it look like he had mechanical problems.

Walkabout, that narrative makes the photos so much better! Isn't there direct highway access to the convention center to avoid something like this happening?

Wonder if he just got lost. Maybe he just wanted to stop at Chipotle really badly?

Either way, that's a bummer for all involved.

What I'm kind of confused about is how did the boat and driver end up at that intersection. It's a weird one on Summer St even without the snow. Guessing he came from 93N and maybe Kneeland to Atlantic wouldn't work? The haul road through southie wasn't open/plowed?

Maybe he wanted to stop at Long's Jeweler for valentines day or hawk some stolen iphones in Downtown Crossing?

Come on guys; how many times have you seen a truck driver lost, or driving somewhere he should not be? Happens all the time!

EDIT: It's not like they get paid a living wage or anything.....

It seemed like he missed the turn at the right-turn traffic island and then tried to make the turn anyway after it. Bad idea. It looked like a zoo, at every moment there were a dozen people taking cellphone pics of it.

You made a first class fool out of me;

Now I'm as fired as a fool can be;

You're stuck in snow, but I love you anyway.

Yes, I saw him on 128 S headed for 93S at 12:15 this afternoon. I'm beside myself trying to understand what all of those involved were thinking trying to execute this shit show.

Not a good week for Hinckley, first they loose a freshly re-powered 34 to a fire and then this... Wonder how that paint job is holding up to the snow bank he is dragging it along?
