At least they now updated the website.
The VO65 Teams are still listed though.

Sailing Holland withdraw VO65 registration for The Ocean Race

Sailing Holland has withdrawn her registration for the 14th edition of The Ocean Race. Due to the uncertain and changing world it has financially not been possible for the team to set up a full campaign. Which led to this difficult decision.

Since the announcement of the NEXTGEN registration at the end of April, Sailing Holland had many good conversations with several parties to join the campaign as a partner. Unfortunately, without the desired result.

We wish all the sailors and teams in The Ocean Race fair winds and a good race.

If true,

That is the end of the dutch VO 65 in the ocean race. But sailing in antigua and the med perhaps.
I never liked the flush deck. Unnecessary dangerous.

And it's true:

No updates. They are just crossing fingers all 4 route du rhum participants make it in one piece to Alicante in December.

So that's half of the battle done. Now to make it back. Both Boris and Paul have some pretty substantial issues to solve. Unsure how the others fared. Kevin sailed a spectacular race on a new boat.

Still no news on the 65s. Given we're 53 days away from the start their PR team who released more sustainability bollocks today, should be let go. Why not just be honest and let us into the story and the hardship of campaigns trying to get to the start line, it might allow fans to build an emotional relationship with the competitors and allow competitors to develop their personal brand and in turn, become more attractive to a commercial partner...

They're utter shit, I'm so fed up with what they've done to this once fantastic event. Sorry for venting -

Over there
The 65's are dead.

Would you throw $XM's at an 8 year old, 2X around VO65 campaign to sail dinghy style around the world with 9 other people on board?

Probably asked before, but why don't they allow solo sailors? The BOC/Velux used to be the solo around the world in stages race but it stopped a while ago. Since they already switched to open 60's they could have a crewed and single-handed version. Would probably get some interest from the solo sailors as an in between two Vendee races race?

the comparison of 38 IMOCAs in St Malo vs 5 in Alicante is striking. If nothing major happens, this could be the last edition of this race.
I'm wondering if there will even be 5 - will Boris be able to complete the RDR, do substantial work to mend the broken foil bearings etc., get the boat back to Alicante and all back together in time for the start? I guess it depends on the extent of repairs needed.
