Huge crash in Marseilles - TP 52

Our information on the incidents at Mark 1 is that there were two crashes . Caixa hit Mutua Madrilena whilst trying at the last minute to take avoiding action when Rusal came in hard on port with nowhere to go. And it was in a separate collision that Matador was hit in a port-starboard crossing when the mainsheet on Mean Machine did not get released. Vasco Vascotto (ITA) Mutua Madrilena's helm seems to have been slightly battered and bruised from the crash. That is the first report we have had from the shore where the three boats are now at the dock, Mutua Madrilena, Caixa Galicia and Matador.

i was thinking the same thing when i saw it. they have the code zero and headstay rams right up the front mounted vertically. they were haunted.

Although I am glad the real competitors were not involved. A lot of training hours, money and prestige go down the drain then.

Oio is right about what happened. There were two crashes and the three ships involved are in the harbour filling in their damage reports I guess.
Perhaps they go around the buoys just not to have DNF in their record.
