That's laughable from the Econ 102 POV,-fungible asset=oil. I am actually named after a certain grade of oil=call me Brent.

Wasn't keystone for Canadian tar sands oil direct to the gulf for export...... and would have nothing to do with the USA supply side?
Exactly right. Canadians have had basically only one customer for crude exports because of inadequate pipeline to Vancouver. (And minimal reversal of Line 9 to Montreal). Now it will all go trans Pacific to China. It could have been coming to the USG coast with Keystone XL. But for AOC and Sleepy Joe. So as well as SPR bbls (which will have to be replaced) having negligible affect on oil prices and going to China and India , Sleepy has facilitated less oil flow to the US via Canada (The most secure foreign oil supply we could have from a friendly neighbor) which will also benefit the Chinese big time. Congrats again to Mao Tse Joey. Congrats to Trudeau for maximizing his oil production and transport. Something teh Dems here could learn from. You are missing West Canadian Select. More WCS will be headed to California and China soon, but way of the Trans-Mountain Expansion. Getting Trans-Mountain Expansion done is one thing I will give Trudeau credit for. The whole time Obama and Biden were being prissy about WCI for Louisiana, Illinois refineries have been getting WCI. They should have turned off the tap at Hardisty for a week or two, just to send a message to Obama. It's just unfortunate that there is no pipeline for getting WCI to New Brunswick, for shipping to Europe and the US east coast.

Irving NB has been supplying refined products to the USA via ship for generations.Honestly; if Ms. Freeman succeeds JT-I will vote Liberal for the first time in my life. The Irving Group wanted to build a whole new refinery at Saint John to to put more refined product into the US northeast, if they had an east-west pipeline.
d'Rantger thinks he lives in a land where there are no liquid oil pipelines. He dosnt ride a bicycle to work or have a windmill on his trailer park home, but is ignorantly happy to benefit from his hydrocarbon footprint. He is a Karen about other peoples aquifiers. So he has that going for him. Pipelines are built more safely now than ever before.oh, lookie at JT spinning again. That XL line would cross perhaps the most critical aquifer in North America. And the Keystone one just got shut down for leaking.
The only benefit to the US would be some refineries on the GC would get the business of refining really dirty oil before exporting it. Spin it dumbass, gotta be more cretins like you lapping up shit.
It never ends.

Because a Democrat is in office, silly. So, if we have SO-O much oil that we're selling millions of barrels a day to India and China, why the fuck should we care if we get oil from Canada?
haha. yes thats true. The province could easily be called Irvingland. One of the biggest industrial family dynasties anywhere. (No d'rantger, we are not talking about Kyrie Irving)Trust me on this-I lived in NB for a long time and will retire there. If it wasn't for the Irvings NB would be nothing. On the other hand, if it wasn't for the Irvings NB would be something.
What the fuck do you think refineries do, in general?the business of refining really dirty oil
It's more complicated than that. Refined product moves across the Canusa border in both directions. Yes; Chicago area refineries run on Canadian crude from the dreaded "oil sands".So, if we have SO-O much oil that we're selling millions of barrels a day to India and China, why the fuck should we care if we get oil from Canada?
Keep shooting yourself in the foot, genius.

I actually do know as opposed to you who just repeats bullshit talking points. Here is an idea flannel boy, why don't they build some refineries up there? And you do realize the XL pipeline was just leaking into a waterway in the US, right? Some of us do the risk reward thing and aren't willing to risk that aquifer to benefit a couple of refineries clear across the US.What the fuck do you think refineries do, in general?
