This dinghy just popped up on a local ads site. It's 12 foot long and looks like a small Finn dinghy.

I've tried a few UK websites but no joy.

Does anyone here recognise it? The sail logo looks like a fly of some sort...

Must be class that fizzled quickly, but hull has a Contender look to it...rig could be ad hoc? Interesting, stayed, cat rig, centerboard...

I know it is not a Kite Dinghy, as I have one and here is pic.

If boat cannot be ID'd, the boat can be made to sail well with alternate spars and rudder, as centerboard in place, it appears.

The Kite here has original dagger board, rudder and mast, all redone and functional as new. but anticipating failure of 73 materials, I acquired a Force Five spar set, and am replacing top two sections with carbon...have Laser II rudder head and blade assy also.

Force 5 sail avail from Intensity Sails and APS for $150 USD...and are beautiful.

Owner of this hull can go likewise, with patience...and some research...or can make spars using techniques UK sailors employ for making Cherub spars...with some mods to make compatible with boat length etc. Mast is stayed, so there are many other options, like Firefly and similar UK classes.

Maybe Banshee rig would work as well or Contender rig, slightly lower aspect, as looks as if boat was made for trap...got to be some materials in Ireland or UK on that boat.
