Info regarding for a mooring or pilling in NZ North island?

I am making my way to NZ this season with my family and need a place to put the boat while we visit family for bit during December/ January.  Anywhere down the East coast of the North island would be great or by Auckland.  Looking for any ideas or a contact regarding a mooring or pilling for a 17m sloop with a 2.1m draft. Trying not to go into a slip for $1100 a month.  Is there any other forums I should try?  Thanks

Whangarei has some nice piling moorings. It's been a while so I don't have cost info. It's just a trip up the river from the customs dock. That helps.

The pile moorings are still there, an 18m pile (the largest) is $417.39 NZD/Mo ex-GST.With GST it's $480, but you won't pay that on a foreign boat. $18.70/night.

It's a fair bit cheaper that on the hard storage, especially when you add in the haulout costs.

We're currently on the hard in Whangarei and back in the U.S. helping my parents move out of their house. We return to NZ the first week of October and should be back in the water within a week of that.

When are you coming in and where, roughly?
