J105: Home to Wankers Class?

Nasty little story making its way around the blogsphere. Surely the accused is not a bigga nuff wanker to jack with a competitors safety equipment, are they? Say it ain't so, J105 peeps!

The j 105 is not a wanker class, particularly in San Francisco. Those guys can sail. However, there are wankers in every class. I was sailing in the 105 class at the big boat regatta when we heard about this incident ( we were parked near maverick ) . The class decision to suspend the owner was correct and now US sailing should suspend both of the guys from all sailing for at least a year. There is no excuse for going on another's boat and touching anything, particularly lifelines.

What club would want either of these guys walking around their facility? They did this, you have to assume they aren't angels and may well have done similar in the past and can't be trusted, at all.

I raced on SF Bay on Sunday and markwbird was race co-chair. PFDs were not required. We wore them anyway - we always do.
