Jib repairs - advice needed

I got a little tear in my jib yesterday but keen I'm to get back on the water today. Do we think a sticky patch will be enough to hold it together??

I that was a bi level Genoa without the upper sheet lines.

I'd just trim off the bottom 15' of the sail and use it as a J4.

Dear Torn of Poto Cervo,

Find yourself a few kiddies glue sticks, that should see you right as most sails are glued these days I hear. Obviously don't get the sail wet for a few hours, but otherwise you'll see no other ill effects from you rather insignificant sail damage.

Remember, if you can't win the race, win the party at the Clipper afterwards.
