It was Saturday morning as Jake, an avid hunter, woke up raring to go bag the first deer of the season. He walks down to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee, and to his surprise he finds his wife, Alice, sitting there, fully dressed in camouflage.

Jake asks her, "What are you up to?"

Alice smiles, "I'm going hunting with you!"

Jake, though he had many reservations about this, reluctantly decides to take her along.

Three hours later they arrive at a game preserve just outside of San Marcos,Texas.

Jake sets his lovely wife safely up in the tree stand and tells her, "If you see a deer, take careful aim on it and I'll come running back as soon as I hear the shot."

Jake walks away with a smile on his face knowing that Alice couldn't bag an elephant -- much less a deer. Not 10 minutes pass when he is startled as he hears an array of gunshots. Quickly, Jake starts running back. As Jake gets closer to her stand, he hears Alice screaming, "Get away from my deer!"

Confused and frightened Jake races faster towards his screaming wife. And again he hears her yell, "Get away from my deer now!" followed by another volley of gunfire!

Now within sight of where he had left his wife, Jake is surprised to see a Texas cowboy, with his hands high in the air.

The cowboy, obviously distraught, says, "Okay, lady! You can have your deer! Just let me get my saddle off it!"

TFG? The guy with record employment and energy independence? Take it to PA where all the lefties have hate for excellence...
You make political comments..... then tell anyone who wants to disagree with you to go to political anarchy, a place you ran away from after getting bashed over the head with your lies dozens of times.

How is that working for you?

But... for fun, we'll do it again.

The fracking boom started under Obama, and it's what led to energy independence (as you call it). It has and had nothing to do with that moron Trump. But, it has continued and even increased under Biden.

So President Trump didn’t make us energy independent. In fact, the gap between supply and demand substantially shrunk when President Obama was in office (again, because that’s when fracking really ramped up). But it would be fair to argue that President Trump’s energy policies slightly sped up the timeline in getting to the finish line of energy independence.

However, what isn’t true is that we lost that energy independence under President Biden.

Using the definition of exports minute imports, 2021 was our highest level of energy independence in history. In other words, we are even more energy independent than we were in 2019. (You can see all the data in U.S. Energy Facts Explained at the EIA website, which is also the source of the above graphic).

Will you ever grow up?

I think you are barking up the wrong tree. The gas price at the pump was $2/gallon November 2020. Since that time the new guy has gone begging for crude to several different sources in SA and the MidEast. Since that time the administration has made pipeline operational permits more difficult. None of this is political, just fact.
Included in "net exports" is processed hydrocarbons. That includes fuels, solvents, resins and other petroleum products.

And par for the course, you try to move the goalposts away from your initial and obviously wrong energy independent bull.

COVID and the severe drop in demand caused those $2 prices you are talking about. They were never a sustainable price point. And oil producers like opec severely cut output to jack those prices up. But when covid ended and demand increased, they did NOT raise production again. That caused the huge spike in prices. Not Trump. Not Biden. And not any of your ridiculous fantasies.
