Are you seriously suggesting that Obama had anything, anything at all to do with fracking, except to oppose it? Do you think he, or the government under his direction, had anything to do with the development of the technologies involved?

Actually, we have been doing large scale fracks my entire career, over 40 years now. We just started applying it to "shales" ( actually resource plays) in the last 20 years. The rise in gas supplies due to fracking actually started in 2005, in the Bush administration, which deserves exactly as much credit as Obama. None.

The big development was actually combining giant scale fracks with long horizontal wells drilled normal to the direction of least rock stress.

There you go…. Trying to ruin a perfectly entertaining argument among fools eith your facts.

Next you can go tell some college football fans about how student athletes don’t really exist anywhere but the Ivy League schools and big state university intramural fields

I think Max is just pissed that I downvoted his highly political post, as I did Warbird's post to which he was responding. I have no idea, never do, what Hasher is thinking. I suspect that, long ago, he got his canoe stuck in a tree with the headlights on, and since then has been on a diet of raw squid and LSD.

I'm tired of taking a whole post to say "take it to PA", so I'm just downvoting both sides. Might make me unpopular with those who just can't help themselves, but at this age I'm kind of past caring.
