We now know what it cost Maricopa County to defend against the frivolous lawsuit Kari Lake and Mark Finchem foist upon the courts earlier this year:

In dollars, at least.

$141,690.

That’s the amount Maricopa County wants from the attorneys who filed Lake’s and Finchem’s campaign stunt of a lawsuit – the April one, in which they demanded a hand count of all ballots in this year’s election.

Would like to be at whatever bar those shitbags go to when they try to decide who’s forking over the dough.

The judge also ordered that within 10 days, Hobbs and Fontes may file for sanctions.
Courts tend to be unfair to bullshitters. Judges dust don’t understand the interaction and gray area between swearing to tell the truth and expressing a (bullshit) opinion that is not grounded in reality.

SO Unfair!

You don’t have to crunch the data too hard to understand that Lake’s loss wasn’t because of fraud or the hacking of machines, as she desperately wants people to believe. It’s because her message about pervasive election fraud and fealty to Trump — also the central message of the Masters, Finchem and Hamadeh campaigns — drove Republican and conservative-leaning independents away from her by the thousands.

Kathy Petsas, a longtime Republican activist from Phoenix, said Lake ran an abysmal campaign that squandered the huge GOP turnout advantage by focusing on re-litigating Trump’s 2020 loss and demonizing voters who didn’t kneel at Trump’s altar.

“We might be a conservative state, but we’re not a Trumpy state,” she said, noting that this is the third straight election in which Trump-backed statewide candidates have lost.

Lake’s campaign rhetoric, Montague said, was particularly damaging — especially in the campaign’s closing weeks, when she repeatedly shared a stage with convicted felon Steve Bannon and told voters who liked the late John McCain to “get the hell out” of a rally.

“Hey, dumbass, you’re in the friend-making business,” Montague quipped.

Trump-Backed Election Loser Kari Lake Hints At Violence At Conservative Gathering

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Former television newscaster and failed Republican candidate for governor Kari Lake hinted at violence to a crowd of thousands of conservative activists Saturday, continuing her claim that she had really won last month.

“On Nov. 8 , they committed highway robbery,” she said, to chants of “Kari! Kari!”

Lake, who has sued elections administrators alleging fraud, called the Maricopa County elections system a “house of cards” that she promised to take down. “I’m not just going to knock that house of cards over. We’re going to burn it to the ground,” she said. “They messed with the wrong woman. They messed with the wrong movement, of ‘we the people.’ And we’re not going to take it anymore.”

She then told the crowd that the Second Amendment – the right to bear arms - was in danger because of current leadership, and that that amendment protected all the others.

“You do not steal our vote and get away with it. You don’t,” she added.

The only mention of violence I found there was this:

"Lake also flirted with endorsing political violence in the final weeks of the campaign;"

Perhaps the title is misleading WRT violence?
I found the identical story on Huffpost with the same headline. I agree "hint" was stretching her words, but she is capable of more, so I'll leave it at that.

Saying the 2nd Amendment is the one that protects all others right after all the other rhetoric sounds pretty violent to me. These fuckers know damn well how to blow dog whistles.

Well, until the dogs follow their commands and then they have no idea what anyone is talking about...and the dogs are the ones that get in trouble.

I like the last part -

Kari Lake will get her day in court to prove that the election was rigged. Arizona is saved.
For now, at least.
A Maricopa County judge late Monday ordered a trial on portions of two of Lake’s claims, throwing out eight others.
Now comes the hard part. She’s got to prove that the election was stolen.
And if she can’t, the judge left open the door to order sanctions for frivolous claims.
