Governor Beshear (D) can ask the Federal government for aid.

Kentucky's elected representatives in DC - among them Minority Leader McConnell (R), Senator Paul (R), and Representative Massie (R) will likely have a chance to vote on such things.

If so, it will be interesting to see how they vote.

I'm especially interested in how the Idaho Senators vote.  I'm sure they will be consistent.

WTF?  Probably about the same as everyone else usually demands for their states when a bad Wx event hits them.  What makes this political?
So you really did not know that much of the GOPPER Riech votes regularly against disaster aid for blue areas ??

Not very well informed of ya.

What an asshole.

I'd wait until he requested it for blue state.

Or send a very public reply stating "Sorry, no money is available because you and your fellow travellers voted it down".

In several threads I’ve suggested that if your congresscritter or Senators vote against a program then your district/state doesn’t get any of the benefits.  Enough of this vote against something and then take credit for its passing and be in the front of the line to grab the cash.

I'm seeing a lot of folks whose homes and livelihoods were destroyed in Kentucky, and many of them say that God saved them. I wanna know why God sent the fucking tornadoes in the first place and why they aren't blaming him for that.

Because it's Obama's fault.
