"Lady" Susan Renouf DTS

Farewell to Melbourne's darling of the social scene, Susan, Lady Renouf or to give her name it's full extension, - Susan Rossiter-Peacock-Sangster- Lady Renouf.

Once famous for being the attractive wife of an ambitious politician, she caused outrage and scandal by sinking low into the world of commerce by advertising bed sheets, but latterly became more famous just for being famous. Common these days you may think, but the true wonder is that she achieved that status long before the age of the internet. A strong supporter of and tireless worker for many charities, her other claim to fame is that she married well... and rather more frequently than most! She was also known for being very kind to certain visiting Grand Slam Tennis players when the Aus Open was played at Kooyong, not all that far from her home of the time.

I do admit, she was strikingly hot in her long past younger days.

Not wanting to be disrespectful of anyone dead.. But the only useful thing she ever did was advertise Sheridan Sheets..highlighted the idiocy of a husband being expected to resign for not being able to control his wifes activities..Still, no harm in the woman..a cheerful bimba I'm sure Sydney will miss her a lot.

My favourite memory of Susan Rossiter-Peacock-Sangster-Renouf was when she farted loudly whilst recording a voice-over for an ad - we kept that on tape for a while...

Second favourite memory was Sir Frank lobbing tennis balls at reporters in boats at Point Piper - Paradis -sur-Mer..
