Laser Model/Year/Sail

Hi- I have a Laser with a transom hull number PFS140840374. The cockpit stickers are too faded to read other than Laser and somewhere in Canada. I’ve seen some various explanations so curious if I have this correct:

PFS = Performance Sailing

 14084 = sail number

 0374 = March, 1974

I thought older Lasers had the sail number moulded into the deck under the bow fitting, I know my first Laser (5945) did.

mine was psb (performance sailcraft do brasil) sail number 75634 year 1978/79(?).
