Isn’t that unfortunate? The game prospers when lots of boats are built and marketed. There is a factory in Rngjand with well trained artisans who used to create thousands of the toys we need…. And it has all been screwed away by a whole lot of circumstances

Is it sad , the Banbury factory is gone ? , YES . But this didn’t happen because a whole lot of unfortunate circumstances.
It’s happened because of the direct actions of the owner of that factory . Even without the court cases, the fight with the class, new builders etc etc etc. .
Production was always going to Portugal and those well trained artisans were always to be unemployed ☹️☹️
As for the new factory in for Portugal, I wish them well . They are going to need it.

To be honest , even though I feel most of trouble could have been avoided , I am happy that the ILCA class has ended up in a better state than it’s been in a decade . As it’s important to class racing to have a boat with world wide coverage.
As for LP as a company , I don’t really care. Though I do feel sorry for the few employees that are left.

Tbh I couldn’t careless where the HQ is as long as the committee does the best for the class, which I believe it has done in regard to the LP situation.
