Lippincott 30...any info?

Good all-around cruiser/racer; emphasis on cruiser and well built.  I don't recall any racing in MORC, mainly a PHRF boat; popular in NJ and upper Chesapeake Bay.  Similar in concept to the 1980's Hunter and C&C builds trying to balance a full cruising interior and cockpit into a performance worthy weekend racer.

Built by Lippincott in Riverton NJ. I believe Skip designed them. (He also designed a very nice 36 but I think only one or two built.)

Being around them on river they behaved better thsn J30 (the latter death rolls more easily) but somewhat slower. Been over 20 years since then though.

Assuming you found this via google:  https://www.spinsheet.com/boat-reviews/lippincott-30-used-boat-review

If (and its a big if) the length overall of 30.33 feet listed in Sailboatdata is correct, then it would not have been allowed to race MORC, as the limit was < 30 feet.  Edit: I found a brochure listing length at 30' 4", so not a MORC boat...

Looks like a nice cruiser thou...
Crash,

Where did you find the brochure?  I had seen that review.

Thanks for the info.

Sailman,

I should have said, "I found an image of part of the brochure."

They want $16.75 for a copy of the brochure...

Also, according to my 2017 PHRF Fleet Guide, Narragansett Bay rates it 177
