Was it sold at all? Or just changed its listing broker after a grace period?
TBH not 100% sure now you ay that, I thought it was sold, but could be wrong. Looks like there has been a few minor changes though, the boards for instance look like they have been painted white, don't think they were like that with the previous owners.

I think you are right, it's listed on the Gunboat page now.

Looking at the pic's on the site would be interesting to know what the chair is about out back

Funny background on that chair. Not a fighting chair. The previous owner wanted to “feel like was flying over the water” sitting in it. I think ACC built it. That was the same owner that painted it blurple.

What’s funny is I think it has to be either a recent add or removable. I saw Moondoggie in San Diego last February and that chair wasn’t there. The blurple paint job was certainly in place, and she was for sale then too.

Was looking at GB's Instagram and saw teh GB60 Moonwave is for sale, was interesting looking at the accompanying pdf file to see how much they have spent over the years... I assume the custom container follows it around the world? The 60's don't look to have that much storage.

Nice, thanks (y) I understood that they had spent a lot of money and that the boat was somewhat of a development platform, but interesting to see more details fleshing out what was on their blog: https://www.moonwave.com/

The 2018 interior & systems retrofit is insane at $2.3M even with new daggerboards. That’s more than a lot of complete Outremers from the factory. Some of this list genuinely seems to be people with a ton of money to throw and some folks happy to take it. It’s like they saw “Gunboat” and tripled the price of everything.

At $150/hour plus titanium, carbon, epoxy? Easy. Superyacht friend once joked about his $70K swim ladder - it took us a couple floating away before we realized we had to tie them down....
I get that things are expensive in the super-yachting realm.....but there is no titanium in the rudders, and 35K should get you two rudders and a spare. Who's billing $150/hr....?

I think most of the 60's came with centreboards that where hydraulic, a lot now have been modified to use daggerboards, that would explain some of the cost, since they would have to cut a hole in the deck and put in a case in the boat for the centreboard and get rid of the hydraulic stuffs, but still the cost is eyewatering.

I wonder if they didn't make 3 rudders as in the blurb they make a point that you can carry a spare onboard. Still once again, pretty dang pricey...

My boat has titanium rudder stocks...And don't forget the price likely also includes the cost to remove the old ones and reinstall the new ones.

And as I recall at least some of the Gunboats had rudder cassettes, you can spend a lot of money fooling around with those, while the blades might be relatively cheap. OTOH rudder design isn't exactly a science for these boats, they could have done trial and error a few times...

And high end yards on both US coasts are certainly billing that high for building composite parts.

You gotta remember that sort of work involves removing and reinstating a heap of the interior of a top end boat.
Let alone the conversation .
