On FB yesterday there was an update saying "with significant damage to his 21 foot racing yacht, Xavier is limping into Fremantle where a decision on the state of the vessell and repairs needed will be made in calmer conditions" which probably explains the speed

They sent a boat out to tow him into Fremantle, arrived around 1am WA time this morning. Damage assessment to be done after Xavier has had some rest.
