Rebar, the duct tape of the welding world. Rebar is cheap, available almost everywhere and if you can weld, you can fix almost anything with it!

Having lived in Korea and currently Poland, relatively poor counties, I've been amazed at some of the places I've seen rebar used besides in concrete.

Sacrificial anode on one ram is still there. Trim tab has seen better days.

Back in the day the yard manager sent me to look at one of the yacht club's RC boats. A steel barge converted to motorboat with Mercruiser I/O. Don't remember the exact complaint, but I looked over the transom and the outdrive was fizzing --- like Alka Seltzer not Champagne. Cut the shore power and gave them the bad news. It would for sure have looked like the above in a day.
