You can’t turn somebody gay or trans (except maybe through exposure to hormone analogues in utero from pollution). The Christians are wrong, They just make unhappy gay people out of happy gay people.
Think back to your own teenage years. What teenager do you know that would have welcomed ridicule or even marginalization socially just so they could win a trophy more easily?
I‘m good with refusing permanent alteration until the teenager is an adult, and outside any parental control, as well as slightly more rational in his own mind. I’d be happier asking them wait until 21, but realize it would face legal hurdles. But multiple interviews show how alone these kids feel. I recently met one with a severe psychological speech impediment that happened in high school, thanks to shaming.
Book banning and other marginalization techniques appear to have one purpose: Make sure these kids suicide and don’t pollute their society, Unfortunately Nashville shows they sometimes buy guns and take Christian children with them. Christians need to learn Christian tolerance as self protection.

Like all issues, this LONQR one of the LGBTQ thing is complicated, and in my opinion folks at the fringes of the left/right debate are both wrong or at the very least misguided by the popular press echo chamber they cannot escape.
Sports? Stay in your lane. Its unfair, period.
Indoctrination? Meh... scare tactics
Schools and left wing zealots? Should be reigned in. Celebration of diversity by almost blatant discrimination is wrong. Let kids be kids. Promote tolerance and equality, but do not put race, sexual orientation on a pedestal for the spectacle that it has become.
Kids will be kids? Its a time of profound biological change. Let it play out for each in their own way as best you can (without fear). Making physical life choices for kids is wrong. Permitting them to make irreversible changes at a young age at all is debatable.
Here on an obscure sailing forum I predict that my opinions will not align with many folks. Thats ok! Democracy is a messy flawed process, and clearly the land of LONQR.

I have an opinion on lots of things I don't personally do, and I'm happy to state them.
You, OTOH, if you stick to your unstated principle, could and should comment on very little indeed. But - you don't.
In fact I'd agree with Razr and leave it to the individual sports bodies, because in some sports it makes no difference at all and in others, it makes a very large difference. But - you do you, and allow the cant of the day to dictate your belief system...
Or we could just abolish gender based competition because after all everyone is a human and all are of equal worth...

My fear here is that bored imaginative smart kids hook into persuasive edgy entertaining shit and like cigarettes they get hooked but not on nicotine but on the power of being so “different and shocking”. I am not in any way denying anyone’s right to be the person they believe they are. We are all doing that. But young minds are pliable, no denying that fact. Franky, make all the restrooms unisex and use the merit system for sports teams and locker rooms based on chromosomes. Most of the noise goes away. The females can do what the fuck they want and compete wherever but the males have to suck it up.

Well, women’s downhill skiing and womens beach volleyball are better than the men’s versions so other than those though womens tennis is also in there.

Keeps us from killing each other in the streets. Seriously though healthy competition helps us be better and enjoy our abilities. The seriousness and money can kill it and the fun can leak out but most of the best teams in any sport are having fun at some level. It’s a necessity to being a good team Imo.
Most people enjoy sport and competition in some form or other, it is inherent in the human condition.
You just have to choose competitions which suit your own biological anomalies and levels of skill. And not take the results seriously, unless of course you want to win.
I fancy having a go at pumpkin growing next year. No gender bias there….
