19 knots to get on the foils??? That sounds a bit high. So on a low wind day of 6 knots, they'd have to get to around 3x wind speed in displacement mode, or they would be ploughing around the entire course!
Maybe a challenge for someone who can calc the take-off speed from a video?

There are suggestions they do go 3x speed of wind at low wind speeds, but a take-off speed of 19kts sounded high to me. They may do 3x speed of wind once on the foils, but they are going to struggle to hit 19Kts in displacement mode.

Well, IIRC the very first simulation gave just that, for taking off on the leeward foil alone. And 16 kts on both foils

OK, didn't know that. In that case, setting the minimum wind speed at 6kn seems very low...

My guess is: if they bet on aircushion effect, a half tube as bottom of some kind, they are more radical in design
