The outboard ends are nothing to do with the FCS* - some dodgy Parker Hannifin or Airbus components maybe :D

*uses only best Massey certified dairy technology

They're trying to get ETNZ's attention. Thats all it is. They're trying anything and everything they can to distract the Kiwi's from their focus on winning the Cup. They tried and failed with courses B&C and now they're trying it again with the FCS.

Back when the teams saw the FCS in action, they were all impressed with the set up. Now it "Doesn't work as they wished". They know a statement like that will get ETNZ's attention, which is why they said it.

On August 31 I Ride Bikes indicated he had heard in NZL that there was an issue with the FCS in real application (no matter how impressed the teams were with a shore side mock up). On September 15th I had a syndicate insider say there is a issue with the FCS , focused on oil that can be updated with a rule change but was still not addressed. This is causing significant maintenance issues and has some issue on the water. But obviously you have all the right answers per usual. Obviously just bullshit to sidetrack the predetermined winners of the next cup.

So why haven't they changed the rules? LR is CoR, surely they would have addressed the situation by now? If the system isn't working for them, it should be the same for the other challengers too? Should be easy enough to get a majority and amend the Protocol? If it still isn't addressed, it is LR's failure to address the situation - again.

Look on the bright side if it is as bad as the Italians are making it out to be then the South American dude won't be pursuing his patent infringement case.  His system is perfect aftetall.

Either way it's pretty weird to have to make modifications to a boat that had only just splashed days before.
yep definitely, but the lack of sailing since launch and the modifications made do seem to add fuel to the fire of rumored structural issues
