That's what the grinders are for Indio.....Jimmy's contract explicitly states - must have fresh pizza available at all times.....Now that he's found out Burling's got porn screens, they're in total disarray.
Ahhh, makes sense - he's got to do something when Bruni is driving I suppose.

Interesting, looking at @weta27 photo of LR deck posted here some weeks ago and comparing them with recent Gladwell's and Gilles Martin Reget's pics, they cut two semicircles in the deck to accomodate something. Here the Weta pic and link to the other pictures:

Better access to their winches?

covered the winch for aerodynamic cleanness/advantage, that's ok, but when the crew puts their hand under the deck to load/unload the winch that's a non non rule 12.11 about covering the crew

Could this have been the reason the boat was rumored to not measure a while back??

Possibly. ETNZ are also covering part of the crew with the coaming around the crew pods as seen in the photo of AM holding a "tube" on the wall of the pod but are under the max allowable area see interpretation 005.

PS. Thanks for the photos

12.11 When viewed from above and orthogonal to MWP, neither the crew nor the guest racer shall be covered
at any time by any part of the yacht except:
(a) by the mast or sails or rigging;
(b) by hand-held movable devices whose only purpose is to house passive input devices and/or crew
indication devices, and these devices are not designed to provide aerodynamic fairing of the crew;
(c) by other components, provided that the total area of cover per person, projected to MWP, does
not exceed 0.025 m2

and this covering is not designed to provide aerodynamic fairing of the crew;

or
(d) if this happens accidentally and no more than occasionally.

Hmm while not a directly from above view there is more than .025m2 of Burling  and others being covered.

might lead to a request for modification? Or is this purely accidental/occasionally..

Not sure what your referring to exactly there?

The only part of anyone I can see that is significantly covered from above is Burling's shoulder where it might be obscured by the lip of the hatch, although that may not be as much as it looked when viewed directly above or that might not be quite his natural position (so accidental or occassional). Most of the other crew to me look like if you down from directly above would probably not be obscured.

They may find they need to make the cockpit walls vertical if it turns out there is too much accidental or occassional happening :)

Sorry the red circles are from something else. Yeah it’s the shoulder and potentially other bits that might be a bit more that accidental.
Opening up the cockpit sides would sort it

need old photo matey back in his chopper for the Ariel view again ;-)
