Jesus christ that photo is amazing. I don't think anyone has talked about this: but look at how their mast is stepped. It seems to be completely flush with the deck, unlike all the other teams. With the whole thing rotating on a circular plate thing that rotates accordingly.
I think there is some chat in Practice Races. Didn't notice the tablet in Bruni's(?) hands.

Pietro Sibello's hands. I guess the gamepad is used for mainsail trimming.

Bruni is steering, directly in front of Pietro. It would be interesting to see what's Jimmy doing on the other side. probably working on the foils.

Possibly. ETNZ are also covering part of the crew with the coaming around the crew pods as seen in the photo of AM holding a "tube" on the wall of the pod but are under the max allowable area see interpretation 005.

PS. Thanks for the photos
I think you're all getting hard-ons over nothing. When in doubt, always define "cover":

= "Put something on top of or in front of (something), especially in order to protect or conceal it."

The seal on the main could be better though...

I'm pretty sure this is why the ETNZ has the wrinkles everybody hates, making sure there is plenty of material to maintain the seal regardless of the shaoe they contort the thing into.

In this video by NZSP seems like LR changed the rudder. I don't know if they changed only the paint color or it's a brand new rudder.

Edit: just checked, brand new rudder

Ah finally someone has revealed why the wrinkles are there. INEOS has the same wrinkles as well.

The real drive power is of course the area starting around 10% of chord aft of the luff of the main, especially down low where the jib slots the wind perfectly across. Those wrinkles don’t matter, so long as they are helping to shape the critical section!

Interesting quote from Bruni on the twin helmsman arrangement on LR.

I would think with the constraints of the boundaries allowing not much more than two minutes to the first layline that not running from side to side is an advantage. Only negative is mastering two roles, helming and foils, however this might have benefits in understanding both.

"“It is not a secret; when we are to leeward we do the foil management. That is a little bit of a downside of this playbook, that you have two different roles, but there are a lot of upsides which are obviously not crossing, always being in position, the transitions are a lot easier, so we feel good in the manoeuvring. We are working very well together as a sailing team and in particular me and Jimmy”
