My initial guess was the starboard (now-flying) flying wing? More likely is it’s something far more sophisticated like wind, tide, choice of course, anticipated wind pressure, pressure across the main, wth knows?

They only did it after they saw the screen on the Kiwi boat first. You will see screens on INEOS soon as they have talked about mods to their boat.
