They can make them in LA, for a price.Sigh - they don’t make racks like Anita Ekberg’s any more

It doesn't splash in snowI hope those shoes of hers are splash proof.
It will go fill up her shoes before it reaches the snow.It doesn't splash in snow
Yes, they choose to remove the backstays in order to further minimize dragI may be going mad, but I can't see any backstays on Luna Rossa in last night's racing.

Ken Read mentioned it in today’s coverage tooWow, did we miss that?
Up-thread we have Weta pics clearly showing runners present in some, not in others.
Have they given away a secret too soon or have other teams been doing this too?
I suppose it's not something that you can change without structural modifications if you have not foreseen it from the beginning.Wow, did we miss that?

There is a pretty noticeable kink at the head of the jib... like Rushman said, it was mentioned in the coverage .... it HAS to be a tradeoff...Have they been doing this before ? What's holding the forestay tension on, and holding the mast up come to that ? Just the mainsheet ?
I am guessing it's just that the hydraulics are not under load, so there's a little play, which is really all the different tolerances adding up. It would never happen under load.
Are you looking at the right bit? The leeward foil? The one that is fully loaded? Under tonnes of pressure? If that is the play in the hydraulics the engineers need sacking.I am guessing it's just that the hydraulics are not under load, so there's a little play, which is really all the different tolerances adding up. Oh, no. I was seeing the windward foil in the air bouncing up and down a few degrees at a time. I have now watched the next few seconds. I don't have an answer for that. Are you looking at the right bit? The leeward foil? The one that is fully loaded? Under tonnes of pressure?
