Sounds like there is a load test, so it seems the hull structure must be capable of at least some tension in them.

just remembered that LR had several issues on the bear-aways on day 1. I don't think this was caused by the leeward runner, but I wonder if it might be evidence of them needing the crew for something else rather than easing runners (not that they have to be eased far).

LR were out at sparrow's fart this morning - were sitting off Rangitoto and had their mainsail up by 7:30am

which side was their new foil on? Issues bearing away were all on port tack (so starboard foil)

One assumes these foils aren't what they measured with for this weekend, but are aimed at the Prada semis, final or even AC itself if they progress

I think they had to measure in ( declare configuration ) yesterday/today for RR 3 and 4
although with the changes to racing due to AM being out i don't know if the declaration date changed.
very keen to see if INEOS can go to smaller foils knowing that they wont have a 6-8 knot shit fest to get through with the foils they just raced on

As JAL says, new config was due yesterday. It didn't change with revised schedule as far as I can tell
Not convinced that UK want to go for smaller foils at this point though.
In heavy winds they beat AM who were quicker than LR
In medium winds they beat both.
The only remaining question is whether they are quicker than LR in light winds.
Plus the only other foils UK have tested are the W-foils. Which I still suspect may make an appearance for the light wind AC, but not the prada
